Cocktail look with kerastase

Hello there my beautiful sweet pies! Today I am happy to share with you the second hair tutorial that I’ve especially created around the cocktail look theme together with the Kérastase team. They asked me what kind of hair I usually like to go with when I go to parties/events and if there’s anything special that I’d love to try. You know what a big fan I am of modern retro. I love taking “old” trends and making them new again by adding a twist. This hairstyle is this exact definition.

I am fascinated by timeless icons like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly or Brigitte Bardot and I feel like they all could rock this hair style which is so simple to achieve. It’s the perfect up do to add a retro chic vibe to your look, while looking quite preppy and classy at the same time.

And keep in mind that what makes the biggest difference in this particular situation is how much you comb the back of your hair : it all depends on how dramatic you want it to look.

If you want to go with the super extravagant runway ready up do then go ahead and comb your hair as much as possible, brushing the upper part to make it sleek and place the head band where it feels the most comfortable, keeping the front clear. If you want something more discrete than you can either just add the headband or slightly comb the back of your hair for some volume! It’s up to you. To make it all hold in place, make sure to use the appropriate products mentioned in the video to add a better hold and texture.
